Hatfield College is steeped in history and was founded in 1846. It is a residential college which is part of the University of Durham close to both the city centre and the Cathedral. The first purpose built chapel in the University, Hatfield Chapel was built in 1854 and is often used by returning students of the College to celebrate their special day.
Hatfield is an ideal setting for any event and provides the highest quality food designed specific to your requirements and drinks from its own extensive cellars offering a selection of fine wines and ports. The College's early Georgian dining hall is an ideal venue for a wedding reception for up to 250 guests. For more intimate parties of up to 22 guests can be held in the elegant dining room.
